We collect only what the site needs to work and to follow up on a request you make of us.
What you type into the free-check form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, and the role you select (buyer, owner, investor, agent). Purpose: to send you the report you asked for and to follow up about short-term rental questions and properties. Kept while you remain a contact and for up to three years after your last activity, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
The addresses you search and when you searched them: tied to your email address once you have given it. Purpose: to produce the result, to send the report, and to understand which areas people ask about. Kept up to three years.
Basic technical information: your browser type, the pages you visit, and an abbreviated record of your network address for security and rate limiting. Purpose: keeping the site up and stopping abuse. Kept up to twelve months.
Proof that you agreed to our terms: the date and time, the version of the terms you accepted, your browser identification, and a one-way hashed form of your network address. Purpose: showing that consent was given. Kept as long as the related contact record.
We do not ask for and do not want financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or any of the categories California treats as sensitive personal information. Please do not send them to us.
Your information is handled by service providers who process it only on our instructions and only to run this service: our website host and form handler, our email delivery provider, our database provider, and our customer relationship software. We do not publish it, and we do not post it anywhere on this site.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this notice will be updated first.
We have not sold personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California defines those terms. If that ever changes, we will update this notice, post the change on this page with a new version number, add a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link, and obtain consent where the law requires it. Your existing information would not be included without a fresh notice to you.
You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you and where it came from; to receive a copy of it; to correct it if it is wrong; to delete it; and to be free from retaliation for exercising any of these rights. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
To use any of these rights, email support@canibnb.com with the word "Privacy" in the subject line, or write to the address below. We will verify your request by replying to the email address we have on file, and we will respond within forty five days. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with your written permission.
This site stores a small record in your browser so it remembers that you have already filled in the free-check form and does not ask twice. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on the site. If that ever changes, this notice will be updated before the change goes live.
The site is meant for adults doing property research. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We will post any change here with a new version number and effective date. If the change is material, we will describe it plainly at the top of this page for at least thirty days.
